My IMAGINING series is about dreamlike scenes, perhaps relating to reality, perhaps not. And I am gravitating more and more to a minimalistic approach. Imagining V is a further step in this direction. I use a limited palette together with the use of "empty" fields, or absence, to enhance the potency of the abstract image. I seek immediacy in my paintings, by that I mean an immediate and visceral connection to the viewer.
