Description
Copper & Marble II.
Fine art, abstract painting, created using oxidised copper metal on the surface of a canvas thickly pre-coated with marble paste. Finished with traces of iron rust and ink.
A painting sometimes just reveals itself to the artist. You are working in your studio, you find yourself drawn today to an inner need to create certain colour combinations, certain nuances of shape, line, texture. You just playfully let the paint dictate the moment. You even feel slightly surprised, you break for coffee, you come back and see that the image delights you.
